Renée S. Sanford has a passion for making God’s Word and God’s love real to women—through teaching and through personal relationships. Seeing God at work in someone’s life is one of her greatest thrills.

Renée was graduated with top honors from Multnomah Bible College in 1995 after earning a double major in Women’s Ministries and Religious Education.She is a gifted Bible teacher, public speaker, editor, author, and co-founder of Sanford Communications, Inc. She is active in ministering to women and children in her home church, Spring Mountain Bible Church.

Among her credits, Renée Sanford is co-author of How to Read Your Bible (Thomas Nelson, December 2005). Renée also is the lead author of the 400 pages of devotional application notes featured in the Living Faith™ Bible (Tyndale House, 2000). As well, Renée is a contributing editor and theological reviewer for the Starting Point Study Bible (Zondervan, a 2003 Gold Medallion finalist). She served as one of the executive editors for the Handbook on Thriving as an Adoptive Family (Tyndale, 2008). She has written for magazines such as Today’s Christian Woman and Discipleship Journal and has been a contributing author to many other magazines and books.

Renée and her husband, David, have been happily married for twenty-five years and make their home “on the road to Damascus” a few miles outside Portland, Oregon. They have five children—Elizabeth (married to Billy Honeycutt), Shawna (21), Jonathan (19), Benjamin (10) and Anna (7). They are the happy grandparents of John (age 2) and Havilah (born August 27, 2007). Besides spending time with family or friends, Renée most enjoys long walks, travel, reading and cooking.
